As part of the development of our activities in the canton of Vaud, we are looking for a Principal Mechanical Engineer (M/F).
Reporting to a technical manager, your main responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical studies based on technical specifications and provide engineering solutions.
Design and develop mechanical systems and components from concept to validation.
Produce 3D designs, verification documentation, and technical reports.
Conduct mechanical design reviews and ensure compliance with development standards.
Support system integration and qualification activities.
Contribute to qualification campaigns and test execution.
Define technical specifications for suppliers and subcontractors.
Act as the mechanical technical authority during development reviews.
Ensure mechanical developments are delivered on time and meet quality requirements.
Identify technical risks and implement mitigation actions.
Monitor development standards and quality control processes.
Evaluate, select, and manage external development partners and contractors.
Provide technical guidance and expertise to multidisciplinary project teams.
Universidad - Master
You hold a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and have strong experience in complex mechanical development environments.
Requirements:
Proven experience in mechanical design and product development.
Experience with industrialization processes.
Experience designing qualification or validation test benches.
Knowledge of thermal simulation methodologies.
Knowledge of vibration analysis and simulation.
Ability to lead technical reviews and coordinate multidisciplinary activities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in an international and high-technology environment.
Nice to have:
Experience in highly regulated industries.
Experience managing external engineering partners.
Exposure to complex electromechanical systems.
Experience supporting qualification and certification activities.
